Our Purpose

Fauxvember is a month-long focus on women’s health and wellness that takes place every November. Here, we encourage women to make mindful, healthy choices—whether that means abstaining from alcohol, cutting back, or simply becoming more intentional about self-care. Created for women, by women, this space is designed to be supportive, welcoming, and free of blame or shame. Our goal is to offer a safe community where every woman can explore what wellness means to her, at her own pace and on her own terms.

Our story

The Fauxvember Society began over the summer 2025, as I was working on my Master of Arts in Leadership, and was reflecting on myself as a woman in society. Now middle-aged, I've seen a thing or two over the years, and I've had a glass wine, or two (or more). I've experienced the high-high and low-lows of my own health and wellness, and I have always wanted to create a safe space for women, like me, who want to find balance. Women like me, who are struggling, or who have struggled with regulating alcohol consumption. Fauxvember is about reflecting on the beauties and realities of being a woman, and supporting each other to abstain or minimalize drinking. 2025 is about launching this space for women and raising awareness!
